Genitalia, vaginoplasty, labiaplasty and Butt Surgery

Women who have gone through several childbirths can benefit immensely from a female genital surgical procedure. The female genital area may become stretched and can lose its tone or tightness after numerous childbirths, and also as a woman matures with age. The result would be loose and weak vaginal muscles. Unfortunately, even exercise such as Kegel won’t be of help especially on cases when the pelvic muscles become too loose.

Vaginoplasty is a plastic surgery procedure that aims to tighten the vaginal muscles. The procedure, also called vaginal rejuvenation or tightening of the vagina, can usually correct the problem of stretched vaginal muscles resulting from childbirths. Moreover, the procedure is also aimed towards enhancing one’s sexual life once again.

Objective of Vaginoplasty

The procedure tones the vaginal muscles, resulting in greater contraction, strength, and control, thus, allowing greater sensation during sexual experiences.

Though it is clear that the experience of childbirth can be the most rewarding in a woman’s life, the after effects may not be very pleasant for both the woman and her partner. The stressful vaginal expansion during delivery can affect the degree of satisfaction experienced during intercourse, and thus, sex life can become dull and boring. Fortunately though, vaginoplasty can bring about an improvement.

Vaginoplasty is a standard gynecologic surgical procedure. During surgery, the stretched muscle at the back of the vagina is joined together and shortened with dissolvable stitches. The unwanted and loose skin is then removed. By reducing excess vaginal lining, the vaginal muscles and the surrounding soft tissues are tightened. This results in the immediate decrease in the diameter of the vagina, and the increase in the tightness of vaginal muscles. This will also bring back the vagina and supporting structures to a ‘pre-pregnancy’ state.

Vaginal rejuvenation surgery is performed either under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation. The procedure takes around an hour or two to perform and may require an overnight stay.

After surgery, the patient is expected to be sore and possibly a little swollen. Patients are usually able to walk comfortably within a few days and may return to sexual activities within four to six weeks. You can see the final result in around two or three weeks after the surgery.

Surgical risks such as infection, bleeding, and scarring may occur so it is important that you see your surgeon for follow-ups to ensure that everything is healing properly and your surgery was successful.
