Butt Augmentation Surgery

Let’s face it. Physical looks matter, no matter how hard we try to deny that. And for people who are consistently on the lookout for bodily imperfections, a flat, flabby, or badly-shaped butt can be a burden on one’s self-image and confidence.

If you happen to belong to this group of people who are dissatisfied with the appearance of their buttocks, then butt augmentation surgery may be a viable option to achieve the appearance and shaping you would ideally want.

Butt augmentation, also known as buttocks augmentation or butt enlargement, is beginning to become a popular procedure among women, and even among men, who may want to have large buttocks that fill out a pair of jeans nicely or may just have some unevenness or poor contouring.

Methods of Butt Augmentation

Buttock augmentation is actually done in two ways. The first method is augmentation through the use of implants, known as butt implants, or through the use of substances like silicone, or other fillers.

Another method involves the use of butt injections. This method is commonly called a Brazilian Butt Lift, although there are other terms such as fat injections, fat transfer, or fat grafting. The procedure usually consists of a combination of liposuction around the buttocks and many injections of fat back into the buttocks.

Celebrities with much gossiped about derrières such as Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez might be considered part of the recent increase in popularity of such surgeries as they are now synonymous with remarkably large buttocks. You might not intend to follow their footsteps and bring your buns to large proportions, but a little enlargement might provide an aesthetic improvement.

The fat used in the injection is your own fat harvested via liposuction from your abdomen, breasts, or elsewhere. The fat is purified before it is reinjected into the body.

Before you think of undergoing the procedure, you need to know whether you are fit for it or not. Candidates for buttock augmentation are those who are in good physical condition, psychologically stable, 18 years old or older, and have realistic expectations.

Also, there are other criteria set by the surgeon to determine if the procedure is appropriate for you. It is important that you discuss your case with your surgeon in order for him to accurately assess the possibility of performing the procedure with you.
