Face Lifts for Men
Plastic surgery and especially facelifts for me are becoming increasingly popular among men of the Western world. Most men who decide to undergo facelift for men are between 30 and 70 years of age. Men are good candidates for a facelift because their skin typically is thicker and therefore less wrinkly then women's therefore there's minimally less chance of having to have the facelift repeated.
Male FaceLifts
As men are becoming more open to plastic surgery it shows that men now take increasing responsibility for their own choices and are better aware of how their looks influence their well-being and successes with the opposite gender.
There's another reason for why plastic surgery for men is becoming more and more recognized. The competition in the business world requires young, dynamic looking men who reflect their business abilities with their healthy look. When it comes to male facelifts for men, the best candidates are males who want to get rid of a tired look. The frequent target areas for men are droopiness in the neck and heaviness in the jowl area that is located just underneath the chin and jaw line.
The most important concern
Naturally, the most important concern for many men when considering a facelift for men is a result that looks as natural as possible. The incision sites on men must be carefully considered since not many men have the option of hairstyles that can easily cover the scars.
The Procedure
The incisions on men's face start in the natural crease of the sideburn, inside the ear or around the earlobe, or back into the hairline. When the incision is made under the chin, the excess fat in that area can also be removed and the muscle bands remodeled to improve the appearance. In some cases men have natural creases where the earlobes and cheek meet - the incision can be made in that spot as well. Sometimes if a patient had hair growing where the skin is pulled, it may result in the hair now growing back behind the ear.
Considerations
Keep in mind that men have more blood vessels in their face and it takes longer for the blood to clot before and after surgery. Furthermore, men with deep facial creasing should consider a more traditional facelift for the best results.
Once you have your facelift done, it is important to rest. This means that you should give yourself at least a week to rest. Forget going out to workout at the gym or even having sex for that week. Exercising and sex increases your blood pressure and you may risk splitting or stretching your stitches which sometimes may can cause you not only pain but a prolonged recovery as well as damaging of the actual facelift result.
