Thermal Face Lift

The procedure
The Thermacool face lift does not need incisions or sutures. It's a completely non-invasive procedure. It uses a radio frequency gun that sends heat energy past the skin and into the deep tissue and muscle layer of the face. This heat energy can cause damage though, so a cooling spray is always needed to maintain a safe temperature. All this heat causes the contraction of the muscles and tissue. As a result, the skin eventually contracts as well and wrinkling is reduced significantly. The only side effects of the procedure are minor irritation and swelling for a few days. The final result is visible only after two to three months when the reconstructed tissue fully heals.
Ultimately the results for this technique are less dramatic than a surgical face lift. That's because the surgeon cannot get right in there and sculpt the underlying tissue. He or she must use the radio energy to indirectly sculpt the face and cause the tissue to do most of the work over time as it heals. Furthermore, the procedure isn't useful except around the eyes and cheeks. It's basically a maintenance procedure that is ideal for younger patients with early signs of aging. Otherwise, it can be used for older patients in conjunction with other rejuvenation procedures.
