You should avoid any sort of activity that gets your blood pressure up. When sleeping, it's a good idea to keep your head up and elevated to allow drainage from the head.

Post-surgery

Following the surgery, you will feel numbness in the forehead, with expected redness, swelling and discomfort. That's OK, its normal around these regions where the incisions were made. Be sure to take your pain-relievers and antibiotics to minimize any pain felt and prevent infections from occurring. If you have excessive pain, redness, pus or other symptoms that do not appear normal, contact your surgeon immediately!

The First Days

The first few days following the operation will require plenty of rest. You should avoid any sort of activity that gets your blood pressure up. When sleeping, it's a good idea to keep your head up and elevated to allow drainage from the head.

After a few days, your surgeon may change your bandages or wait till later on in the week pending on your recovery progress. Patients are not advised to use any sort of skin irritant like dyes, tints, and skin care products at least for a few days. You should be able to wash your hair right away if you wish.

The First Week

By the end of the first week you should be able to go to the surgeon's office for a post-op examination. They will usually remove the sutures around this time and examine your healing progress. Normally, people are well enough to go back to work a week after the surgery, although any strenuous activity should be avoided for approximately 3 weeks.

As time goes by, you may notice hair loss or hair thinning around the incisions - don't worry, that is a normal side effect of the procedure and is typically temporary. The numbness and discomfort should subside, but may be replaced by an incessant itchiness. This is a sign of nerve regeneration after it had been damaged in the scalp.

After 1-2 Months

You should be fully healed one to two months after the operation and can resume your previous activities - and be proud of your new and improved appearance. A brow lift is a dramatic change that can knock years off your face.

Results Are Long Lasting - Up To 10 Years

It is important to remember that the results of the brow lift are not permanent as the skin and muscle will continue to loosen with age and activity. However, the results are long-lasting with maximum duration considered to be about 10 years.
